We Believe in the Power of Change

Through in-kind contributions, volunteerism, and cash support, Diamond Financial Services supports nonprofit organizations that work to make a difference in their communities. Below are some of the organizations we support.

Heifer International

Choose a meaningful gift to give a loved one and help children and families around the world receive training and animal gifts that help them become self-reliant.

Click any of our gift animals and find out how your gift will provide families with resources they need.

After your donation, don’t forget to send a printable gift card or e-card to tell your friends and family that you’ve honored them with a Heifer gift.

Diamond Financial understands that world hunger is a curable problem and we are committed to supporting Heifer International monthly.

St. Francis Inn

St. Francis Inn is a Franciscan, Eucharistic community called to minister with the poor and homeless of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in the spirit of the Gospel and inspired by the life and compassion of St. Francis and Clare of Assisi, we try to meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing and hospitality.

Furthermore, we empower persons to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty and address structural injustices.

We seek to build relationships with those that we serve by respecting their human dignity and by helping them to restore hope in their lives, and by living simply among them.

The Hunger Site

The Hunger Site was founded to focus the power of the Internet on a specific humanitarian need: the eradication of world hunger.

Since its launch in June 1999, the site has established itself as a leader in online activism, helping to feed the world’s hungry.

On average, over 220,000 individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the yellow “Click Here to Give – it’s FREE” button.

To date, more than 200 million visitors have given more than 300 million cups of staple food.

A click of a mouse can feed the world. Start here and click each and every day like the employees of Diamond Financial do!

Passage Home

Since 1991, we have helped over 1,000 families to achieve self-sufficiency. We have grown from one part-time director, to a staff of 22 in four locations. We own or operate 82 units of affordable, multi-family housing in Raleigh. We are governed by an eleven member Board of Directors.

Helping families in transition means providing “transitional housing” – the intermediate step between homelessness or incarceration – to self-sufficiency. We provide apartment units at below market rate rents, along with intensive case management to focus on life goals, career, parenting and setting a budget.

All of our adult clients are required to work full-time. Each is expected to adhere to life goals that are set with the help of a caseworker. When families are strong, neighborhoods thrive. When neighborhoods are strengthened, families thrive. Diamond Financial has worked closely with Passage Home providing financial assistance and volunteers as needed since 2003.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly and requires multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump. Insulin, however, is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation.

Since its founding in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 diabetes, JDRF has awarded more than $1 billion to diabetes research, including more than $122 million in FY2006. In FY2006, the Foundation funded 500 centers, grants and fellowships in 20 countries.

DFS donates to JDRF to support research for the cure.

Boy Scouts of America

The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

Principals of Diamond Financial have been volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America for 14 consecutive years and continue to do so with yearly monetary donations. We believe in the morals and values of Scouting.
